Bollywood item dancer and controversy queen Rakhi Sawant got injured in her debut pro-wrestling match at Continental Wrestling Entertainment, a promotion run by former WWE World Heavyweight Champion the Great Khali, in Panchkula in Haryana.
The 39-year-old actress, entering the ring wearing a salwar and kameez, got slammed by her opponent back-first onto the mat. She was unable to get up and laid motionless. Indiatoday reports that she was taken to the hospital following it where she was reported to be stable with stomach and back-ache.
Pro-wrestling is scripted combat. Whatever happens in the ring is pre-planned and decided beforehand. That being said, countless wrestlers have been injured while wrestling in the ring for real.
Only time will tell if this is a work or shoot. Regardless of it, Continental Wrestling Entertainment has garnered a lot of publicity for this incident.
