MS Dhoni and Imran Tahir are both parts of the Chennai Super Kings. But both these veterans are very different when it comes to celebrations. Where on one hand, the skipper MS Dhoni is rarely seen showing his emotions on or off the field, Imran Tahir can be seen celebrating like no one else. Whenever the leggie gets a wicket, his show of emotions is just unstoppable. He starts from one end of the ground and sprints all the way up to the other end with his arms wide open to celebrate the wicket. He is nicknamed as the “Parasakhti Express”, for the way he celebrates.

On Wednesday, when the Chennai Super Kings took on the Delhi Capitals, Tahir got quite a few opportunities to sprint across the ground, as he took 4 wickets in his quota of 4 overs. This performance of his contributed largely in CSK’s stunning 80-run victory over the Capitals at the Cheepauk.

MS Dhoni is not yet fully fit, yet he played the game on Wednesday. And, post the match, when asked about how he deals with Imran Tahir’s celebrations, he came up with a funny reply.

“It’s great fun to watch Tahir celebrate. But we have made it very clear that me and Watson we are never coming to him once he gets a wicket because more often he runs to the other side,” MS Dhoni told Harsha Bhogle.

“For me and Watson, it’s a bit difficult when you are not 100% fit. Why go over there and congratulate. The good thing is he finishes his lap and comes back to the same place. So that’s the time we say, ‘yeah, very well done..well bowled’ and we go back to our fielding positions,” Dhoni added.

The match on Wednesday against the DC was CSK’s last home game for this season.

Skipper Dhoni played a crucial knock of 44 runs off just 22 balls and also executed 2 stumpings to be adjourned the Man of the Match.

Ravindra Jadeja too played a handy inning of 25 runs in just 10 balls to end up with 179 runs at the end of CSK’s 20 overs.

The table-toppers before the game started, Delhi Capitals faced a heavy collapse as Tahir took 4 wickets while Jadeja accounted for three to end Delhi’s innings within 17 overs.

The capitals collapsed from 81/4 to 99 all-out.

Both these teams have already qualified for the playoffs starting next week. As of now, Chennai is back at the top of the table with Delhi trailing in the second spot.
