Among the most impressive footballers in the twenty-first century, Patrice Evra is surely a name to remember. With no shortage of talent, the left-back started his career with Marsala, going to Monza, Nice and eventually Monaco, where he made a name for himself and got his place in the France National Team. Sir Alex Ferguson brought him to Manchester United, where he remained for eight years, and then three in Juventus. Following a season each at Marseille and West Ham United, Evra retired as a footballer in July 2019.

The French defender also made his name as a controversial man, culminating in a termination of contact from Marseille after he kicked a fan for ‘ridiculing’ him during a training session. The five time Premier League champ just uploaded a video on his instagram, which shows him at his craziest.

He’s already known for crazy Instagram videos, but the latest from Evra is certainly the Frenchman’s craziest. “I’m sending all my #love and positive energy to all my people from #india stop the hate we are all brothers and sisters,” Evra wrote as the caption for the video.

In the video, Evra, donning a Sherwani, pyjama, turban and chappal, shows his bhangra moves to a popular party song in India: Mundian to bach ke rahi. Evra mentions in the video: “It’s Monday! You know what, I may be French and from Senegal, but today I am an Indian!”

The post is simply lovable, and meant to push for positivity, and it certainly puts Evra in a positive fight in front of his Instagram followers. Incidentally, Evra was known to be the goofiest guy in the Manchester United dressing room during their glory days under Sir Alex Ferguson. The post already has nearly 150,000 likes on Instagram and some reactions by the instagrammers are worth noting.

The most dominant reaction is perhaps the reply to his “I Love this game” hashtag on the caption, as thousands commented their love for the game. One instagrammer inquired “Where is the other sandal,” indicating the conspicuous usage of only one sandal as a footwear. While another commented that after this dance, Evra is now “Patrice Singh!”
