Here you can see, following the controversial but incredible save made by Klopp’s brand new 32 year old signing secured the Anfield side the trophy. As the players and club staff gathered to celebrate, a supporter ran into the crowd, and slid right onto the hero of the match, who was reported to suffer an injury.
“Lifetime Ban for the piece of sh*t” one fan wrote.
Another one tweeted: “Almost wiped out half of our team with that tackle.”\
Some Chelsea fans were furious on the alleged VAR failure on the decisive save, putting up photo and video proofs that the Reds keeper’s foot was not on the line as Blues striker Tammy Abraham was about to kick the ball.
The lengthy match went onto penalty shootout after a 2-2 score after the end of extra time. Sadio Mané netted doube for the winners, with Olivier Giroud and Jorginho both getting one goal each for Lampard’s side. The result of the shootout was 5-4.
