Watch: Hardik Pandya takes first ‘baby steps’ after surgery for acute back injury

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has posted his first video of walking on social media after he had undergone a successful surgery for his acute lower-back injury on Saturday.

In the video that Pandya had posted on Instagram, he was spotted to be taking small steps in the hospital room which the help of the doctors. The all-rounder had earlier posted a message to the fans on Saturday stating that the surgery was successful.

Pandya suffered from this injury way back during the Asia Cup last September in UAE. He then recovered to play for MI in the Indian Premier League before taking part in the World Cup this year.

Pandya presence for next year’s T20 World Cup in Australia is very crucial for the India side but they will miss his services for the next few months as well.

He was last seen in action when India took on South Africa in the T20I series earlier this month before being ruled out of the Test series. Pandya is now expected to miss the T20s scheduled vs Bangladesh.
