Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong produced an amazing piece of skill to win a penalty for his side. He’s due to join Barcelona next season.
Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who currently plays for Ajax caught everyone’s eye this season for his flawless performances on the field. This also prompted FC Barcelona to strike an early deal for him.
Inspired by de Jong, the side made its way upto the Champions League semi finals where they dramatically conceded 3 second half goals at their home to get knocked out. They also went on to win both the Eredivisie and KNVB cup.
On Wednesday, the Ajax went on to thrash De Graafschap 4-1 where Dusan Tadic scored twice while Schone and Tagliafico each netted a goal. But the highlight of the game was when Frenkie de Jong produced an amazing piece of solo effort to win his side a penalty.
The Dutchman was seen skipping past 6 Graafschap players in an amazing piece of footwork that reminded many of the great Kaka. Finally he won a penalty for being brought down inside the box.
With such skills at his disposal, Barcelona fans are excited to have a first glance of him at their club next season. Also it is hoped that Frenkie’s inclusion might bring the better of Ivan Rakitic at the club. Watch his solo effort here.
