Indian wicket keeper MS Dhoni yet again showed his brilliance behind the wickets as his lightning quick stumping sent Ross Taylor packing back to the pavilion.
Indian wicket keeper MS Dhoni once again displayed his brilliance behind the stumps as his lightning fast stumping caused the dismissal of Ross Taylor during the second ODI against New Zealand at Bay Oval.
Taylor, who was batting on 22, was slowly setting the pace as New Zealand were posted a challenging target of 325 to chase.
But in the 17th over of the match Dhoni whipped the bails off, while Taylor’s foot was on the air for less than a second. Kedhar Jadhav might have removed the important wicket of the game but all credits and praise was for the man from Ranchi.
Dhoni did not give Taylor a chance as he took less than a second to dislodge the bails and send him packing. Immediately after the incident, Dhoni was seen to be appealing to the umpire confidently even while his teammates were skeptical about it.
Earlier, both Dhoni and Jadhav produced late blitz with the bat as the duo powered the team to 324/4 which included 21 runs of the last over. India eventually went on to win the game by 90 runs, dismissing NZ for 234.
