A football fan named Lucca Della Libera has constructed a rap song by creatively making use of the names of football players, clubs and several terms associated with the game, and the end product is amazing!
The creator goes by his YouTube channel name Lucca Libera, posted the video of the song on 10th September 2019. Till now it only has 124 views but is expected to go viral due to Reddit, as posted on r/soccer by u/ldl351. Check out the catchy track below-
The song is intended to be a parody of the original hip hop track named ‘Sports‘ by American rapper Lil Dicky, where he did the same using the names of various sportspersons across different fields apart from football.
“He never mentioned soccer, and it only took me 5 years to respond.” Lucca’s video description reveals the main intention behind the work.
The video, 1:48 minutes in length, shows Libera rapping alongside pictures of the players or teams he is referring to, appearing on the screen gradually.
Starting with the line “It’s a Cole-Cole world” – a reference to former Chelsea winger Joe Cole, the song also cites on another Blues legend Petr Cech – “You better Cech yourself”, Liverpool legend Daniel Agger – ‘Got the moves like Agger’, and Juventus star Miralem Pjanic with the line “I don’t wanna Pjanic at the disco” and so on.
The video ends with the line ‘Part 2 coming soon’, indicating Libera will be releasing a sequel.
