The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has successfully organised the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy this season in the post-COVID-19 era. Tamil Nadu beat Baroda in the final and won it. Although Baroda lost, they have plenty of positive things to look back at the season. They have played without their key players – Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda but they fought against all odds to reach the final under the captaincy of Kedar Devdhar. Apart from him, there were Bhargav Bhatt, Kartik Kakade and Vishnu Solanki who did well.

While others were in good form, it can be said that Solanki was one of their positives from this season. He has played a crucial role for the team, especially in some of the games and took the team home as well. And one of the game was against Haryana when the team needed 15 runs to win off the final three balls. Vishnu Solanki at first smashed a six, then a four and then went for a maximum to take the team home. Meanwhile, in the final too, he lifted Baroda from a struggling position of 36/6 to a decent total of 120 as well.

However, Solanki became viral on Twitter after playing an MS Dhoni-like helicopter shot against Haryana, smashed another one once again against Tamil Nadu in the final. In the 19th over of the innings, where Baroda were trying to finish on a high note, off the bowling of fast bowler Sonu Yadav, Solanki replicated the helicopter shot that cleared the fence. The delivery was full and like the former India captain Dhoni, Solanki whipped the ball with a huge bat speed that sent the ball for a six towards mid-wicket.

Meanwhile, Twitterati started reacting after seeing Vishnu Solanki play the shot twice in three matches as well.

Here is how Twitterati reacted:

Howveer, Solanki top scored with 49 runs before getting run out in the final over of the innings as well. He scored two sixes and one four and stitched a 58-run stand with Atit Sheth for the seventh wicket to provide Baroda with a decent total in their allotted overs.
