2020 edition of Indian Premier League has witnessed several things – be it centuries, stunning bowling shows or awesome fielding efforts. However, along with these, R Ashwin’s warning instead of Mankading, Rishabh Pant’s funny act with Ricky Ponting or MS Dhoni’s umpiring fault have also come in the limelight. Lately, another incident has come in the news from the Royal Challengers Bangalore dressing room where their in-form Aaron Finch was seen vaping during the last over of RCB’s chase against Rajasthan Royals.

The small video of Finch vaping became viral on social media in no time and it gained reaction as much as AB de Villiers’ heroics in the last two overs of their chase as well. The swashbuckling batsman smashed three sixes in the 19th over bowled by Jaydev Unadkat and took the equation to RCB need 10 runs off 6 balls.

Steve Smith gave the responsibility to Jofra Archer to bowl the final over. While he was bowling, the camera shifted for a few seconds towards the RCB dressing room and there Finch was seen exhaling smoke and taking another puff before the camera returned to the game.

However, Aaron Finch is not the first cricketer to do so and also caught on the camera during a match. Former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum had also done it and he revealed that he smoked in the toilet during the semi-final against South Africa. Even, England all-rounder Ben Stokes too had admitted that he smoked during the World Cup 2019 final against New Zealand in Lord’s washroom.

As far as the game was concerned, RCB required 35 runs from the last two overs and AB de Villiers’ heroics sealed the deal for his side where Jaydev Unadkat gave away 25 runs in the 19th over and RCB chased down the rest of the 10 runs in the last over with ease.

“Yeah he (de Villiers) is a freak isn’t he and that’s why he is the greatest of all time. I think what we saw today was another master class,” revealed RCB coach Simon Katich in the post-match press conference.
