Milton Keynes Dons F.C. or MK Dons, a team currently competing in EFL League One, obviously not a big name in English football. However, today marks a special day for the club and football fans across the country as back in 2014 on this very day, the club achieved a thrashing 4-0 victory over none other than Manchester United!

On 26th August 2014, the Red Devils traveled to Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire to face the Dons in the second round of the League Cup, who were under the management of Karl Robinson, and faced a shock defeat of four goals to none at Stadium MK.
Below is the highlights from the match with the bizarre result, courtesy to the official YouTube channel of MK Dons.
Louis van Gaal’s star studded Devils, with the likes of de Gea, Shinji Kagawa, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernández were overpowered by the Dons, who back then had a future superstar in their starting 11: Dele Alli, who rose from the club’s youth system.
Dons’ overpower came in form of double braces from two strikers. Will Grigg, Northern Ireland international netted the ball in 25th and 63rd minute, soon followed by two goals from the DR Congo international Benik Afobe in the 70th and 84th minute, who was on loan at the club from Arsenal back then.
MK Dons were originally the ‘Crazy Gang’ Wimbledon FC, who decided to relocate to Milton Keynes in 2004. A part of the fanbase were against this decision and formed AFC Wimbledon, while Pete Winkelman, the current chairman of the club, decided to buy the club out of liquidation and renamed it to Milton Keynes Dons Football Club.
