Wasim Jaffer, the former Indian batsman has been active on social media recently and indirectly dropping hints regarding the way he wants the players to be selected in Team India to square off against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He recently took to his social media account and once again did something similar.
Wasim Jaffer shares a secret message for Team India selection
Wasim Jaffer, who has had a remarkable domestic careeer took to his Twitter account and shared a message, dropping hints in the process about how he wants Team India to pick up players ahead of the third test match against the Aussies in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
He wrote: “Today I had nice filter coffee by the lake. Amazing how fish can breathe underwater. Then I walked past a portrait of Che Guevara before bumping into an old pal from Dombivali who now has a restaurant in Borivali.”

Thinking deeply about the message, Jaffer had indicated the the filter coffee referencing towards KL Rahul, who got into a controversy for his remarks on a show that had the word coffee (Koffee).
Next, ‘fish can breathe underwater’ is a clear indication to Shubman Gill as the respiratory organ of a fish are called gills. Che Guevara is simple as it sounds as it is indicated at Cheteshwar Pujara.
The ‘old pal’ in the message Rohit Sharma as he and Jaffer go a long way back. At last, Dombivali is the place where captain Rahane started his cricket.
KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane, this could be the the batting order Jaffer wants Team India to follow.
Jaffer had previously wrote, “People In Cricket Know Grief In Life Lingers Aplenty Never Dabble Rise And Handcraft Unique Legacy” which turned out to mean ‘Pick Gill and Rahul’ after the joining the first letter of all the words together.
It is to be seen if Team India follows the batting line-up as hinted by Wasim Jaffer when India take on Australia in the third test match in Sydney from January 7 onwards.
