Team India’s tour which included three-match One Day International series, as many T20 International series and four-match Test series starting from November 27. On the other hand, the first Test will be played in Adelaide with a pink ball.

Meanwhile, Kohli’s decision came under the scanner as many raised questions on this matter. However, former India batsman VVS Laxman has backed India captain Virat Kohli as Laxman missed the birth of his first child while they had the series against South Africa way back in 2006-07. But he didn’t feature in a few Ranji Trophy matches to be with his wife during the birth of their daughter a couple of years later.

“I believe you have to respect that. Yes, ultimately you are a professional cricketer but you are also a family man, and you also respect what is good for your family and what is good for your family. So, I believe we have to respect that decision. It is a very important phase of your life,” Laxman said to IANS.

Meanwhile, Laxman was slated to return to India after the third and final Test in Cape Town that finished on January 6, 2007, as the delivery date was expected around January 10. But the baby was born on January 1 as well.

“I remember myself missing a couple of Ranji Trophy matches to be with my wife for the delivery of my daughter. It is a very important feeling, especially when you are going to get your first child,” revealed Laxman.
