Playing their first game at the Wankhede, Royal Challengers Bangalore opted to bowl first after winning the toss. The only catch being that, Virat Kohli forgot that he won the toss.
Standing alongside Sanju Samson, Ian Bishop, and match referee Shakti Singh pitchside for the toss, Kohli flipped the coin. The call was tails from away captain Samson.
While Kohli won the toss with the coin landing heads, he duly stepped out of the way to bring Samson to the front. Right before the RR skipper was about to speak into the mic to answer Bishop’s question regarding the decision to bat or field.
The realization dawned upon Kohli that he won the toss and after a series of laughs all around, Kohli revealed that he is clearly not used to winning tosses. He elected to bowl first and made one change to the team.
“Hey, I won the toss. Not used to winning the toss,” Kohli exclaimed at first
“Going to bowl. Have seen results here whether there’s dew or not. Still continues to be a high-scoring ground. Last night we saw even if you lose early wickets, just one partnership and you’re never far in the game,” Kohli said

The RCB and the Indian skipper does not boast a good record when it comes to tosses, the coin does not favour him whether it be flipping or calling the right side.
In the recently concluded home series against England, Kohli had a dubious record with the coin. He only secured two toss wins in the entire tour which included 12 fixtures.
He had also noted the fact after winning the toss against the KKR, led by Eoin Morgan.
