In a cricket crazy nation like India, fans are an inevitable part of it. While Team India started its third Test against England with flying colours, hosting such a series amid a tough time of COVID-19 is really praiseworthy. However, their bio-bubble was about to breach on the First Day of the Test as an ardent fan of Indian captain Virat Kohli managed to reach the crease.

He ran midway into the pitch when Kohli was batting. But he spotted the man and managed to save himself from coming in contact with the person before the security officials caught him. The breach of the bio-bubble would have been dangerous in post-COVID-19 times.

However, India bundled England out for only 112 runs on the board that to inside 50 overs and the credit goes to the spinners. While Axar Patel claimed his second five-wicket haul in only the second Test of his career and finished with figures of 6/38, veteran R Ashwin too picked up 3 wickets.

Meanwhile, prior to the game, Indian captain Virat Kohli was seen worrying about the lights at the Narendra Modi Stadium as he said that those lights could affect the visibility. He also added that the players need to adapt to the situation quickly. The newly-made stadium doesn’t have the traditional floodlight towers but it has a ring of LED lights around the perimeter of its roof which is similar to the “ring of fire” at the Dubai International Stadium.

And, this often affects the fielding side which was even seen during the last year’s Indian Premier League as well. Players failed to grab catches on the field more than compared to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah grounds.

“It is such an exciting atmosphere here at the largest cricket stadium. I’m a bit more worried about the lights than the colour of the seats,” Virat Kohli shared at the toss ahead of the day-night Test against England.
