Indian skipper Virat Kohli commended the Indian athletes who made the country proud at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The 32-year old took to Twitter to congratulate his fellow Indians.

Rohit Sharma applauds the Indian athletes with a special mention to India’s new Golden boy- Neeraj Chopra
India’s vice-captain in the white-ball format also took to Twitter to congratulate the Indian athletes for their epic performance. He also gave a special shoutout to India’s new young sensation, Neeraj Chopra.

India record their best ever medal tally at the Olympics
At the Tokyo Olympics 2020, over 11,000 athletes from over 200 countries participated. But this competition did not stop team India from recording their best ever medal tally at the Olympics. India finished with seven medals which include one gold, two silver, and four bronze.
Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra bagged a gold medal for India on Saturday and as a result, India registered its first-ever gold in athletics at the Games.
Bajrang Punia (bronze), Mirabai Chanu (silver), PV Sindhu (bronze), Lovlina Borgohain (bronze), men’s hockey team ( bronze), and Ravi Kumar Dahiya (silver) also won medals in the Tokyo Games.
The Tokyo Olympic Games came to an end after a stunning closing ceremony at the Tokyo Olympic Stadium on Sunday. Once the Games were declared as closed, the Olympic flame was extinguished.
