After defeating Bangladesh comprehensively in the T20 series , the Indian team is all set to face the Bangladeshi for two test matches which is going to be a part of the World Test Championship. The first test will be played in Indore on the 14th November which will be followed by India’s first ever pink-ball test in Eden Gardens on 22nd November.
As the first Day-Night test is still 10 days away the Indian team decided to test their batting with a small session with the pink SG ball which will be used for the first Day/Night test match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Indian Captain Virat Kohli who is coming back into the team after he was given a rest for the T20 series, the skipper seemed excited and was looking i full flow while he was facing the pink SG Ball.
Indian Test specialist and reserve opener Shubman Gill also were tested with the pink ball as both the batsmen practiced with the mixture of red and pink balls.
Aware that there is not much time , NCA head Rahul Dravid arranged a session of pink ball for Opener Mayank Agarwal, vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane, fast bowler Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami which was completed under the guidance of former Indian captain Rahul Dravid.
