One of India’s most successful amateur Boxer Vikas Krishan made his pro debut today at the Turning Stone Casino in New York against a rugged tough opponent Steven Andrade who he stopped in the second round.
Krishan controlled the pace of the fight and destroyed his opponent with hard body shots throughout the fight until the referee had to step in and stop the bout.

He started his campaign in the junior middleweight division and he weighed in at 151 pounds. He was well under the 154-pound limit.
Vikas Krishnan has a terrific amateur pedigree, he won a gold medal at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. He also won a gold medal in the Asian Games which took place in the same year in China in the lightweight category.
He has won a Bronze Medal at the 2014 Asian Games held at Incheon, South Korea. In Asian games 2018, he won bronze. He had to withdraw because of a serious eye injury. He is the first Indian to win 3 medals in Asian games.
Vikas will have tough competition in the division as it is filled with hard-hitting fighters like Jermell Charlo. Erislandy Lara, Jarrett Hurd and Jaime Munguia.
Krishan is managed by Split-T Management and promoted by Bob Arum of Top Rank Promotions.
