Andre Russell is currently in the form of his life playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League.

Every cricketing fan across the globe is in awe of the batting display Andre Russell is putting up in this season of the IPL. The West Indian is setting the stage alight with his wide array of shots.

Each of the three wins of KKR can be solely credited to the efforts of Russell, who guided the team home from impossible situations.

He has so far scored 207 runs that include knocks of 48*(13), 62(28), 48(17) and 49(19).

It is to be noted that Russell has not been part of the West Indian ODI setup for a while now. But these recent performances drew the attention of the former West Indian captain Brain Lara, who spoke in huge praise of Russell and batted for his inclusion in the world cup coming up next month.

The legendary batsmen took to Twitter to say that he wanted a team that comprised of Andre Russell and any other 10 players.

With the squad to be announced in a few days time, it looks to be seen whether the selectors consider these IPL performances while making their final call.
