Team India started their five-match T20I series against England with a defeat. Captain Virat Kohli went for a duck and it was for the first time in his cricketing career, that he was dismissed for a duck in two consecutive innings as well.

During the first T20I against England, Adil Rashid removed him as he ended up giving a simple catch to mid-off. While it was shocking for everyone, including Virat Kohli himself, Uttarakhand Police used this in a positive way. They shared positive advice to all riders against rash driving through his dismissal.

The Uttarakhand Police tweeted Kohli’s picture where he can be seen walking off the pitch, with his helmet still on. They posted with a message citing, “Just wearing a helmet is not enough. It’s imperative to drive with total concentration, or you can also get out on zero like Kohli.”

As far as the game is concerned, all-round performance from the England team helped them beat India by eight wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday. Put into bat, India faced a top-order collapse before Shreyas Iyer put up a great show with a stunning 67-run knock that gave India a decent total of 124 for 7 after 20 overs.

For England, Jofra Archer bagged 3 for 23 from his 4 overs. Even their batsmen looked comfortable in the middle. Jason Roy top-scored for England with 49 and chased down the target in just 15.3 overs.

However, the host brought some changes in the opening pair as they dropped Rohit Sharma for the first two games. Although Kohli had confirmed that KL Rahul will open along with Rohit. He also added that Shikhar Dhawan will be a ‘third opener’, ruling out the speculations of all three of them playing together in the playing XI.

“It’s quite simple, KL and Rohit have been performing at the top of the order for us and those two would start,” Virat Kohli said in a virtual press conference on the eve of the first of the five-match T20I series at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
