USA sensation Saurabh Netravalkar thanks Oracle for allowing him to pursue his cricketing career

Saurabh Netravalkar

Saurabh Netravalkar, the India-born USA cricketer, has been a standout performer in the ongoing T20 World Cup. His remarkable journey from being a techie at Oracle to a key player in the USA’s dream run deserves recognition.

Netravalkar expressed heartfelt gratitude to Oracle for enabling him to pursue his passion for cricket alongside his tech career. His dual role as a senior software engineer and a cricket all-rounder exemplifies dedication and balance.

“Thank you so much, Oracle for your support in enabling me to pursue my passion alongside my tech career!” Netravalkar wrote in his tweet.

Saurabh Netravalkar’s dram spell against India

Netravalkar’s left-arm seam bowling rattled India’s top order. He dismissed both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, leaving them bamboozled. Notably, he became the first bowler to dismiss Kohli for a golden duck in any ICC event. His spell left India reeling at 10/2 after just 2.2 overs.

Netravalkar’s journey took an unconventional turn. Faced with challenges in Indian cricket, he made a practical call in 2013. Unable to secure a regular place in the Mumbai team or break into the Indian Premier League, he chose to play for the USA. His decision has paid off, as he now shines on the global stage.
