Ultimate Kho Kho: A Quick Recap of the 1st Week of Season 2

Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2 began on the Christmas Eve at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack. The opening day saw both the finalists from last season Odisha Juggernauts and Telugu Yoddhas in action against Rajasthan Warriors and Mumbai Khiladis respectively.

Ultimate Kho Kho Day 1

The Day 1 in the new season of Ultimate Kho Kho has produced thrilling finishes. The defending champion Odisha Juggernauts started their campaign with a win against Warriors, who finished last in the previous season. Akshay Masal starred for Odisha, while Rohan Shingade, Avinash Desai, and Gowtham MK stayed on the mat for more than 4 minutes to take their team to a win over Rajasthan Warriors. They won with 8 points difference.

Later in the night, the last year runner ups Telugu Yoddhas defeated Khiladis in a tight finish, winning by just 2 points. Rahul Mandal scored 14 points for Yoddhas in an action packed encounter, while Pratik Warikar also came to the party with 10 points.

Ultimate Kho Kho Day 2

In match 3, Gujarat Giants was in action against Rajasthan Warriors. Giants defeated Warriors quite handsomely 41-30 in their season opener. P Narasayya starred for Giants with 8 points while Sanket Kadam and Suyash Gargate scored six points each. Warriors recorded their second loss and their knockout chances have took a pounding.

The next match saw Telugu Yoddhas back in action against Chennai Quick Guns. This time around they were humbled by the Quick Guns(38-32) who also started the new season with a win. Quick Guns were able to kill the game in the first turn itself(18-0) and not allowing Yoddhas to go ahead of them at any moment further in the game.

The season already started with a bang. With very less matches, teams are fighting it out to win all games to reserve their Knockout berths.
