Delhi and Tamil Nadu were clashing in the ongoing Ranji Trophy Elite Group H contest played at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. Tamil Nadu won the toss and elected to field first.

Yash Dhull, who was sent out to open the innings, brought up his century off just 133 balls with the help of 16 boundaries.

Dhull survived a close call as he was dismissed by M Mohammed when he was on 97 but the ball turned out to be a no-ball. Dhull made full use of this chance and slammed a century on his Ranji debut, a feat that not many cricketers have achieved.

After his heroics in the World Cup, Dhull was roped in by his state franchise Delhi Capitals for an amount of Rs 50 Lakhs.

Dhull’s innings took Twitter by storm as many cricket experts are hailing him as the next big thing in Indian cricket. We hope that Dhull steps up to these expectations and serves Indian cricket for a long time in the future.
