After being approved by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Nasir Hossain has resumed playing competitive cricket after a two-year ban.

In September 2023, the 33-year-old was suspended for six months and banned for violating the ICC’s Anti-Corruption Code. As of right moment, Hossain is reportedly entitled to continue his cricket career after fulfilling all the requirements of the ban.

“As per the terms of the sanction, Nasir Hossain has now fulfilled all requirements, including completing the mandatory Anti-Corruption Education session. This has paved the way for his eligibility to re-enter official cricket as of April 7, 2025,” said the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) in its official statement.

Between 2011 and 2018, Nasir Hossain played 115 international games for Bangladesh in all formats.

On the day that the ICC overturned his suspension, Nasir made his comeback to competitive cricket by playing for the Rupganj Tigers against the Gazi Group Cricketers at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the ongoing Dhaka Premier League.
