Jagadish Baruah
Hailing from Assam, Jagadish Baruah has been associated with Arm Wrestling since 2011. He won the National gold medal in 2022, and he is a National silver medalist as well. He represented team India in Open Asian Arm Wrestling Championship that held at Kazakhstan on October 28 2017- (AAF) and he also made it into the World Top-8 first time organized Team Malaysia. He also represented Team India in the 80 kg left hand where he won the Bronze medal at September 2017.
An improvement that we have seen since Ranking tournament in Gwalior is that his confidence level has increased. One of the things that the 33-year-old brings to the table as an Armwrestler is the Kings move and very few Armwrestlers in India can cleanly execute a kings move. So the franchise will get something unique from me.
Asker Ali
Asker Ali from Kerala in the 80 Kg category has been Armwrestling for seven years. Since Gwalior event, he has improved coordination, endurance and made basic strength in every moves. Being a freestyle armwrestler, it will be beneficial for the franchise. He has expertise with with hook, top roll and flip wristpress too as well. He is an allrounder. He is a former PPL Champion, National Champion in 2017, 2018 and 2019. He is also a two-time UAE silver medalist.
His training regimen includes- Training-nutrition-rest and recovery. He recently said that he expects to get good platform to compete. The 27-year-old further wants to improve the skills. He wants to take the sport to new heights and limits. PPL offers an excellent opportunity for professional arm wrestlers like him to showcase talent and skills to a global
audience. He said that he expects the broadcast to generate massive attention and fan following for the Pro Panja League.
Siddharth Malakar
The 30-year-old Siddharth Malakar who hails from Assam competes in the 90 Kg weight category. He has been into arm-wrestling for 8 years. Since last year, he has improved a lot. His injuries have healed and he has been working on his weak points. His form has
also gotten much better. His perseverance and the want to become the best player in the league are two of the aspects that the franchise should keep an eye on. Speaking about his past achievements, he is a 4-time Arm Wrestling National Champion and has been a Pro Panja Arm Wrestling Champion in 90 kg Category.
Stewe Thomas
Stewe Thomas from Kerala has been armwrestling for four years. Ever since the Gwalior event took place, the 20-year-old has improved a lot. He has now become National Champion in the youth category in both Left and Right hand. He is still very young and constantly improving as he has showcased in the Nationals 3 Gold at 2022
nationals, 2 gold medals at the Kerala State Armwrestling Championship, 2 golds at the 2023 Nationals. His favorite workout is training with resistance band and bar gripping sessions.
Jincy Jose
Meanwhile, the 47-year old veteran Jincy Jose has been arm wrestling for 8 years. She has improved since last year as she is giving more time in gym for improving her strength. She is a strong contestant in the women’s 65kg+ catergory. She will bring good experience to the team. She became the Champion of Champion(COC). She is a 7-time National Arm Wrestling Champion, in the years 2016,2017,2018.
