Indian badminton Queen PV Sindhu and 4th seed Akane Yamaguchi clashed in a high-stakes Quarter Final match in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics.
PV Sindhu secures a spot in the semis
Sindhu has been quite brilliant with her performance. She came into today’s match after an easy victory against Mia Blichfeldt of Denmark on Thursday. She once again showcased an incredible performance as she outclassed Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi in quarterfinals of the women’s badminton singles on Friday in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics.
The Indian shuttler sealed the match with a straight 2-0 win against her Japanese opponent. She won the first game 21-13 and it was followed by 22-20, which was enough to book her spot in the upcoming semi-final round.
The Indian champion had beaten Yamaguchi last time they met in a tough 3 setter.
