Tilak Varma Reveals Heartwarming Reason For Dedicating His Maiden T20I Fifty Celebration to Rohit Sharma’s daughter

Tilak Varma recently scored his maiden T20I fifty and dedicated his celebration to Rohit Sharma’s daughter, Samaira. Varma notched 51 runs off 41 balls in the second match against West Indies proved to be the highlight of the Indian batting performance.

Varma revealed the reason behind his touching gesture of his celebration in the post-match press conference. He revealed that he shares close bond with little Samaira and shared how he had promised her that he would dedicate his celebration to her whenever he achieves a maiden century or a fifty.

“It was towards Sammy (Samaira), Rohit bhai’s daughter,” Varma told reporters after the match. “I am very close to Sammy. I had promised her that whenever I will score a century or a fifty, I will do a celebration for her.”

India suffered a defeat in the second T20I as West Indies secured a thrilling two-wicket victory. The match saw twists and turns and it was an exciting affair.

Chasing a target of 153 runs, West Indies apparently gained momentum. However, a sudden collapse saw them lose four wickets for just three runs in a span of 13 deliveries, putting them in a precarious position. However, Nicholas Pooran emerged as the savior for West Indies with his explosive innings of 67 runs off just 40 balls. Despite the collapse after Pooran’s dismissal, Hosein and Joseph remained steered Windiest to a win.
