Oscar Piastri, the talented Formula One (F1) driver, has expressed his interest in following the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. On March 27, he took to social media and asked fans for suggestions on which IPL team he should support. His question refreshed the old memories of drivers who made their appearance in IPL earlier.
Who spotted on the field of IPL?
For those interested (a LOT of you are), Paul Di Resta and Adrian Sutil had 3-4 attempts to bowl at the stumps.
Allan Donald helped them with their action & run-up.

Paul Di Resta and Adrian Sutil, both accomplished Formula One (F1) drivers, have left their tire marks on the racing circuits. However, when it comes to the Indian Premier League (IPL), they haven’t been spotted in cricket gear.
Kunal Shah took X and wrote: “For those interested (a LOT of you are), Paul Di Resta and Adrian Sutil had 3-4 attempts to bowl at the stumps. Allan Donald helped them with their action & run-up. ADRIAN SUTIL HIT THE STUMPS IN THIS THIRD ATTEMPT!”
Now another driver from F1 who is also interested in cricket stepped up and asked fans which team he should support in the IPL.

Piastri’s love for cricket is well-documented. Last year, he made a statement by donning the iconic 2003 World Cup jersey with Brett Lee’s name and number during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. This gesture came right after Australia’s victory over India in the World Cup under the leadership of Pat Cummins.
In his tweet, Piastri asked for recommendations on which IPL team to support. Several cricket personalities weighed in with their opinions:

- Karun Chandhok suggested the Chennai Super Kings.
- Jehan Daruwala recommended that Piastri follow the Mumbai Indians.
- Kevin Pietersen proposed the Delhi Capitals.
