Team India suffered an early injury scare ahead of the first T20 against Bangladesh after captain Rohit Sharma dealt with a blow to his thigh during throwdowns. The Hitman did not take part in the rest of the training session after being hit.
Sharma, who is leading the Men In Blue owing to Virat Kohli’s absence got hit on the left thigh with a fierce throwdown and was hence forced to leave the session midway. The 32-year-old was reportedly upset with the pace at which the ball was hurled at him.
A team source gave a brief update on the incident with a statement which said, “Rohit is getting treatment and we will update you when we get the details,”
Throwdowns are an integral part of training sessions in order for the batsmen to get into a rhythm before a match.
The other takeaways from the net session were Rishabh Pant dealing with some extra glove work which indicates that he might get the nod ahead of the in-form Sanju Samson.
