Dubbed rightly as the “putting machine” of India, the 23-year-old golfer, Aditi Ashok, made heads turn at the 2016 Rio Olympics when she was just 18. The teenager had opened strong with two 68s but she faltered in the last 36 shots.

In her second appearance at the Olympics, she did not just put on a performance, she stunned the spectators with her putting skills in all four rounds. In the final golf event that was held on Saturday in Tokyo, Aditi went head to head with the top best golf players.

Currently ranked 200 in the World, Aditi sure showed that ranks don’t matter as she finished fourth. America’s Nelly Korda won gold, while Japan’s Mone Inami and New Zealand’s Lydia Ko bagged the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

Few more years and this girl might join the likes of Mirabai Chanu, Mary Kom, PV Sindhu, and Manika Batra for being the brightest medal hopefuls for the country.
