The side led by the guidance of Rahul Dravid, who has already shed the importance of the bench players getting time, rewarded Sanju Samson, Nitish Rana, Krishnappa Gowtham, Chetan Sakariya and Rahul Chahar their debut caps.

India win the toss and bat first
Shikhar Dhawan won his maiden toss for India and had no hesitation in batting first. The newly elected skipper celebrated his fortune with a signature thigh slap after having lost out on the toss twice in the series with two different calls.
Apart from the five debutants, the team have also made one additional change with the inclusion of Navdeep Saini.
The team handed a rest to Ishan Kishan, Krunal Pandya, Deepak Chahar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav.
While there were reports of either one of Devdutt Padikkal and Ruturaj Gaikwad opening the innings instead of Prithvi Shaw, but only Nitish Rana and Sanju Samson were slotted in the batting department.
“We’ll bat first. We want to put up a good total on the board. We have got six changes, and five debutants. Navdeep comes in among the debutants. We are motivated, and we want to finish on a high. With the youngsters coming in, we are really excited and looking forward,” Dhawan said
