As the T20 World Cup 2024 heats up, the Indian cricket team took a refreshing break in the West Indies, recharging before their upcoming Super 8 matches. In a picturesque setting in Barbados, the players split into two teams for a lively game of beach volleyball. Virat Kohli and Rinku Singh led the fun, showcasing their playful sides.

T20 World Cup: India gets into relaxation mode ahead of Super 8s

In the video shared by BCCI, India’s star players, including Virat Kohli, Rinku Singh, and Hardik Pandya, were seen shirtless, having a blast while playing beach volleyball. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared the video, revealing the Men in Blue’s lighter side.

With a five-day gap before their next game, the Indian team unwound with this team bonding activity. The beach in Barbados provided the perfect backdrop for some friendly competition and relaxation.

The Indian team qualified for the Super 8 stages alongside the United States of America from Group A. The Indian team won matches against Ireland, Pakistan and the USA, while their match against Canada was washed out. Barbados will be the first match that India will play in the Caribbean islands in the ongoing edition of the tournament.

India will kick off their Super 8 campaign against Afghanistan on June 20 in Barbados. They’ll then face Bangladesh in Antigua on June 22 and wrap up the stage with an exciting clash against Australia in St Lucia on June 24. All matches start at 8 PM IST.
