India and New Zealand are set to lock horns in the Super 12 clash of the T20 World Cup 2021 on Sunday, October 31 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
Virat Kohli-led India are yet to open their account in the huge tournament as they suffered a disappointing loss by 10 wickets to Babar Azam’s Pakistan. India are currently placed fifth in Group 2 above Scotland. Losing early wickets in the game has been a big problem for the Men in Blue and they need to avoid that against The Kiwis.
The inclusion of Hardik Pandya has been a huge topic as well and we will have to see if he shines during the match, while eyes will be on Virat Kohli as well after he played a sensible captain’s knock against Pakistan.
The Black Caps, on the other hand, haven’t secured a win as well. Pakistan defeated them by five wickets on Tuesday at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
New Zealand will be focussing on their powerful bowling attack. The experiments with their batting order with Daryl Mitchell as opener and James Neesham at No. 4 – didn’t prove to be fruitful against Pakistan. They did not have a recognized finisher at the crease when the death overs came around and they paid the price for it. They will have to work on that aspect against India.
Waging Odds: India (1.40) vs New Zealand (2.80)
India are the favorites and are priced at 1.40 meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹140.
New Zealand are priced at 2.80 and are the underdogs. Betting ₹100 on them will earn you ₹280 if they come out as winners.
It is needless to say that the match is quite crucial for both sides. It’s relevant to note that India have never beaten the Kiwis in the T20 World Cup. However, in this high-stakes match India looks to have an edge over New Zealand. Both teams have a strong batting lineup but India’s batsmen are more adept at scoring in spin-friendly conditions. India’s bowling is a bit of a concern but against New Zealand’s batting the Men in Blue should bag a win.
India to win the match.
