Former Indian cricketer and commentator Sunil Gavaskar was quite clearly seen to be displeased after an intruder barged into the ground following Senuran Muthusamy’s dismissal on Day 3.
While nothing serious happened, Sunil Gavaskar clearly wasn’t happy with what he saw and got quite vocal during his commentary on Saturday.
“I think it’s not easy to get into the ground.. There is a barricade. What are they (security personnel) doing if a spectator can do that?
“It is a major security breach and anything can happen to the players,” said Gavaskar while on commentary for Star Sports.
However, this isn’t the first of such incidents to have taken place in this series. Earlier, a fan intruded into the ground to meet Virat Kohli at Vizag.
At the conclusion of day 3, the second test seems to come completely under the control of the hosts. After posting 601-5 in the first innings, they have now bundled out the visitors for 275.
It is expected that the Indians will enforce the follow-on and wrap up the proceedings as quickly as possible.
