New Zealand’s Trent Boult, known for his exceptional bowling skills, has climbed to the second position in the list of bowlers with the most wickets in the powerplay overs of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Boult, who plays for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, has been instrumental in providing early breakthroughs for his team. His ability to swing the ball both ways and his precise line and length have made him a formidable force during the powerplay overs.

In the IPL 2024 season, Boult has taken 16 wickets, surpassing Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s tally of 10 wickets to claim the most wickets in the powerplay. His best performance came in the qualifier 2 match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he picked up three crucial wickets in the powerplay. This performance not only helped the Royals secure a spot in the driver’s seat but also propelled Boult to the second position in the list of most wickets in powerplay of IPL.
