The Indian Premier League (IPL) Qualifier 2 got underway with the blistering batting display from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batsman Rahul Tripathi, who is back into the team after an injury, took the bowler to the cleaners, hitting them to all corners of the ground. He was dismissed by Trent Boult who picked all 3 wickets in the PP.
SRH vs RR: Trent Boult impresses once again
Boult, who bowled the most economical spell in the last game against RCB, steps up once again this time with the wickets. Though the New Zealander went for few early on against Abhishek Sharma in the first over, he continued his discipline, adapting to the conditions at Chepauk. He dismissed the dangerous Sharma on the last delivery of his first to provide the first breakthrough to his team.
Rahul Tripathi started the onslaught against the RR bowlers, particularly targeting the Man of the Match from the previous game Ravichandran Ashwin. The rampage batting has forced RR Skipper Sanju Samson to give another over for his trump card, Boult. The left-arm seamer did exactly what was needed by dismissing Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram in his 3rd over.
