Celebrated hockey goalkeeper PR Sreejesh will stand alongside star shooter Manu Bhaker as the flag-bearer of the Indian contingent during the Paris 2024 Olympics closing ceremony. This honour recognizes Sreejesh’s significant contributions to the team and marks a fitting conclusion to his remarkable career.
Sreejesh’s Monumental Career
The 36-year-old Sreejesh recently retired from professional hockey after representing India in four editions of the Summer Games. His instrumental role helped India secure their second-straight Olympic bronze medal in Paris.
Manu Bhaker, the 23-year-old pistol shooter, made history by winning two medals at Paris 2024. She became the second Indian woman, after PV Sindhu, to achieve this feat at the Olympics.
