Tottenham have completed the transfer of French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele from Olympique Lyonnais for a whopping club-record of £65 million, who was their top target player this summer.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have signed the he 22-year old with a contract extending to five years with an option to extend it for 12 more months.
The player was previously linked with European heavyweights such as Manchester United, Paris Saint Germain and Juventus, but finally decided to make the switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Frenchman’s transfer fee smashes the previous club record of £42 million, set by Davinson Sanchez, who was brought to north London from Dutch giants AFC Ajax back in 2017.
Lyon have made a huge profit on the staggering £65 million transfer fee for the player, bringing him from Amiens in 2018 for just £7 million.
Ndombele will reportedly earn a wage of £200,000 per week, making him one of the highest earning Lilywhite.
Following the arrival of Leeds winger Jack Clarke, Ndombele is the second player to be signed for spurs after a stagnant 18-months, previously signing Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2018.
Following the completion of formalities at the Spurs training ground the player completed his medical on Tuesday.
Ndombele is speculated to be the replacement for ex-Spurs starman Mousa Dembélé, following the 31-year old Belgian’s departure for Chinese Super League club Guangzhou R&F.
