Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya hailed Manu Bhaker for her remarkable performance at the Paris Olympics 2024. The 22-year-old pistol ace achieved a rare feat by winning two bronze medals in a single Olympics.

Her first medal came in the women’s 10m air pistol, and she followed it up by partnering with Sarabjot Singh to secure more glory in the 10m air pistol mixed team event. Notably, Manu also became the first Indian woman shooter to win an Olympic medal.
Mandaviya emphasized that Manu’s success would serve as a powerful inspiration for millions of young athletes across India. Her journey exemplifies the spirit of determination, hard work, and excellence. The entire nation takes pride in her achievements.
“This success of Manu Bhaker will inspire millions of youth in the Indian sports world. The whole country is proud of her,” wrote Mandaviya on ‘X’ and also shared pictures of his interaction with the top shooter, her father Ram Kishan and personal coach Jaspal Rana.

Upon her return to India, Manu received a rousing welcome at the IGI Airport, where hundreds of supporters braved the rain to celebrate her historic feat. She will soon head back to Paris for the closing ceremony, where she will proudly carry India’s flag.
