Last week, a cowardly suicide bombing attack on CRPF convoy in Pulwama region of Kashmir led to Martyrdom of 42 jawans. The suicide bomber named Adil Ahmed Dar, 20, rammed an SUV loaded with 350 kg of explosives.
This attack on Indian security forces caused a massive furore amongst Indians and there are calls for a direct boycott of Pakistan at the world stage. Even the cricketing world has condemned the ghastly attack on our forces. Former Indian cricketer Harbhajhasingh has called for a boycott of Pakistan during the ICC world cup 2019.
Now, the former Indian captain, Sourav Ganguly said on Saturday about the removal of photos of Pakistani cricketers from the Eden Garden stadium in Kolkata. In fact, 64 activists of BJP youth wing were arrested by the police after they staged a protest outside the Iconic cricket stadium.
“We are working on it. There will be a decision soon,” Ganguly told reporters in Kolkata.
The Eden Garden’s stadium gallery features photographs of numerous Pakistani cricketers, including Prime Minister Imran Khan, according to a CAB official.
Numerous other state cricket associations have seen several protests. Vidarbha, Punjab and Rajasthan have already removed the photos.
