Young Indian cricketer Shubman Gill recently shared his admiration for captain Rohit Sharma. After leading India to a 4-1 victory against Zimbabwe in a T20I series in Harare, Gill reflected on the experience of captaining the team and the influence of former captains.

Gill drew inspiration from former captains like Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. However, it was Rohit Sharma who left a lasting impact on him. Gill looks up to Rohit and enjoys playing under his leadership.
“You can take qualities from Rohit bhai or even Mahi bhai, Virat bhai, Hardik bhai, all of them,” he said. “All of them have great qualities. I have played the most under Rohit bhai, so he is someone who I look up to and really enjoy playing under,” Shubman Gill said.
Despite initial pressure during the tour, Gill led the team to success. The series began with a loss but ended with satisfaction as India clinched the trophy in Harare.
Gill not only captained effectively but also excelled with the bat, scoring 170 runs in five matches. His crucial fifties in the third and fourth T20Is showcased his mettle at the top of the order.
