Since its release back in 2017, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has taken the gaming and esports community by storm, and its free to play version PUBG mobile has one of the biggest player bases over the years. While India observes a nationwide lock down, India Today has announced the India Today League: PUBG Mobile Invitational Esports tournament, kicking off on 23rd April. Many professional and semi professional teams of the country will be taking part in the tournament, with a total prize pool of Rs 2.5 Lakhs.

The tournament, commencing on this coming Thursday from 4pm IST, will last until 26th April, which will see some of the most renowned teams of the Indian PUBG mobile community, competing against each other over 16 matches spun across four days.
The adrenaline rushing event will see professional teams like fnatic, Mayhem, TeamIND, HYDRAOFFICIAL, GodLike and many more battling it out across four most acclaimed maps of the game- Erangie, Miramar, Sanhok and Vikendi.
The tournament will be cast from the esports arena at India Today League PUBG MOBILE, with a prize pool announced of an astounding Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
The tournament, aimed to be a memorable event for both the participants and viewers alike, will see a total of four matches each day.
Following are all the professional teams that will be participating in the invitational tournament- fnatic, TSM ENTTY, Orangerock, 8bit, SouL, Mayhem, SynerGE, VSG CRAWLERS, UME, Marcos Gaming, TeamIND, Megastars, Team Tamilas, Celtz, HYDRAOFFICIAL, GodLike, Element esports and Powerhouse.
With over 50 million Indian players, PUBG mobile has the biggest player base in the country.
Available on both iOS and android devices, the game sees 75 to 100 players, competing individually or in groups of two, three or four players, airdropped into a huge map, where they have to battle ir out against each other to emerge victorious. Players collect weapons, armour and other items ,as a loot or from killing other players, as the map shrinks with time.
