Shikhar Dhawan says a good IPL will help him stay in rhythm for ICC world cup 2019


The twelveth edition of Indian Premier League started on 23rd March 2019 and has got cricket fans glued to their TV screen. This season’s tournament is also very important because as soon as the IPL end, the much anticipated ICC world cup will start from 30th May.

This season Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan will be looking forward to a good season. He will be playing for Delhi Capitals this season. Last season he played for Sunrisers Hyderabad and the performed well for the team.

I am looking forward to starting the season with a bang. Feels good to be back home after a long time and when it comes to cricket, we have a very good bunch of boys, a balanced side. Things have changed and I feel that change is good. We have a great support staff and I think we are in the right mindset which is very important. 

The way we are preparing, we are doing a lot of hard work as well as smart work and I believe we are going to do well this season,” he smiled.

He also said that performing well in IPL will help him remain in top form and rhythm for the world cup.

The IPL is our home tournament, so we must play and enjoy ourselves. I am sure those who do well in the IPL will take that form forward into the World Cup. Rhythm always helps a cricketer,” he said.
