Sheldon Cottrell praises Dhoni’s love for the Indian Army

West Indies pacer Sheldon Cottrell who is also a soldier in the Jamaican Defence forces took to twitter and praised the former Indian Captain and veteran Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his love and dedication for the armed forces.

In the recent world cup Sheldon Cottrell gained popularity for his salute style of celebration after taking a wicket.

The Jamaican tweeted ” This man is an inspiration on the cricket field. But he is also a patriot and a man that gives to his country beyond duty. I have been at home in Jamaica with my boys these past weeks and had time to reflect”.

Cottrell also tweeted a video of the former skipper getting the Padma Bhushan the third highest civilian award in India by the honorable president of India Ram Nath Kovind.

He wrote along with the video “I shared this video with friends and family because they know how I feel about honour but the moment between wife and husband truly shows an inspirational kind of love for country and partner. Please enjoy as I did”

The 38 year old Ranchi lad holds the post of honorary Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Terrestrial Army and is a member of the Parachute Regiment. In 2015 Mahendra Singh Dhoni qualified as a paratrooper after completing five parachute jumps in the Agra training camp.
