Kolkata Knight Riders, who are on a hint for their third IPL title this season, have started their season on a high, winning 3 out of the 4 matches played so far.

The Dinesh Karthik led KKR outfit is owned by one of the most successful and popular celebrities of the country, Shah Rukh Khan.

While praising his team owner, captain Karthik said that SRK is one of the top owners to have on board as he not only wishes well for his own team but also for the other teams. The wicket-keeper batsman added that the ‘King of Bollywood’ likes to see a good cricket match as he is a sport-loving person.

Shah Rukh Khan has been one of the most passionate owners among any teams in the IPL. His love for the game is quite evident as he has expanded the ‘Knight Riders’ brand by buying teams in the Caribbean Premier League (Trinbago Knight Riders) and South Africa’s T20 Global League (Cape Town Knight Riders).

Talking about SRK’s passion for KKR and sports in general, Dinesh Karthik said that he is someone who understands defeats and is able to take it in his own positive way.

“Firstly, he is a terrific person. In the little time, I have spent with him, he is a top owner to have and is genuinely a large-hearted person who wishes well for his team and other teams as well. He likes to see a good cricket match. He is someone who is sport loving. He is not all about KKR, and ‘we need to win’. He likes to see a good game,” Karthik told Sportskeeda.

The skipper added, “As much as he loves KKR and wants us to do really well, he is someone who understands losses and is able to react to them in a positive way. I am lucky to have an owner like him, to put him in a nutshell.”

Meanwhile, KKR will be travelling from Bangalore to Jaipur to try and build on their winning momentum when they face the Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
