Rinku Singh left no stones unturned to bag a spot in the T20 Squad
Rinku Singh, known for his hard-hitting style came in the lime light in 2023 for the KKR. He is the only batter to hit five sixes in the last over of an IPL chase. This feat, achieved during a game against Gujarat Titans in 2023, won KKR a game that seemed well beyond their reach. During that innings, Rinku became the first Indian to hit five consecutive sixes in one over in the IPL. Only Chris Gayle had done it before him. His IPL career stats are impressive, with 848 runs from 37 innings at a strike rate of 143.2.
He quickly became a dependable member of the team’s middle order and was looking like a strong contender for the T20 World Cup squad.
Rinku’s IPL career began with Punjab Kings (then Kings XI Punjab) in 2017. However, he didn’t get a chance to play a game with them. His IPL journey truly took off with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), who gave him a debut in 2018.
