Liverpool’s Sadio Mane will not be facing any FA charges despite having an altercation with Arsenal’s Stephan Lichsteiner.
Mane’s offence is that he appeared to have put his hands around the neck of Lichsteiner during Saturday’s 5-1 Premier League win over Arsenal at Anfield.
Match referee Michael Oliver saw the incident which happened around the seventh minute and awarded a free-kick to Arsenal.
It will definitely be a sigh of relief for Jurgen Klopp as Mane will now be available to play on his side against Manchester City this Thursday.
The Senegalese winger has been an important asset for Liverpool this year. In 17 appearances for the Reds he has scored 8 goals.
Liverpool currently lead the Premier League seven points ahead of Pep Guardiola’s City.
