Rachin Ravindra’s Heroics
Rachin Ravindra, who has roots in Bengaluru, played a crucial role in guiding New Zealand to a commanding first-innings total of 402. Ravindra’s knock of 134 runs was studded with 13 boundaries and four sixes, making him the first New Zealand player to score a Test century in India since 2012. His performance was instrumental in New Zealand’s dominant position in the match.
Sarfaraz Khan’s Maiden Test Century
On the other hand, Sarfaraz Khan registered his maiden Test century during India’s second innings. Partnering with Rishabh Pant, Sarfaraz led a spirited fightback, putting together an unbroken 113-run partnership for the fourth wicket. At the lunch break on Day 4, India was 344/3 after 71 overs, with Sarfaraz unbeaten on 125.
