Exclusive Interview with Sachin Goyal

1) How is your training going?

My training is going very well and I am working out harder than before. I spend my whole day at the gym because right now whole India is watching Pro Panja League on Television and I won’t tolerate losing in front of a Millions of people. So I am working very hard.

2) How was your experience in Season 1?

My experience in first season of Pro Panja League was exceptional. My friends, My relatives, My family members saw me performing live on television for the first time and this was a very proud moment for me.

3) What was your most memorable moment from the first season?

The crowd used to chant “Sachinnnn, Sachinnnnn” for me whenever I used to walk out to the table or when I used to win. This was one of the most memorable moment for me. Not only was my team Baroda Badshahs used to chant for me, even players from other team used to chant for me.

4) What did you think about your team’s performance in season 1 of Pro Panja League?

The performance of the team was good, but it wasn’t exceptional. So for the next season, I have urged my team to work hard.

5) You lost the match against Asker Ali in Season 1, how are you planning on countering him in Season 2?

The loss against Asker Ali was a memorable one for me as even after losing I wasn’t disheartened. I played much better than before. Because if a player loses by a small margin, he knows that if he can improve even 10%, he can change the course of the match. My first match against Asker Ali took place in the ranking tournament back in 2022. In that match, I lost to Asker in front of my friends and family. I took that loss to my heart and I worked very hard and I played well against Asker even if I lost. Asker is a strong player who works very hard like me and I felt that there was a little less preparation from my side. This time, I am leaving no stone unturned and I am working on my top roll and the most important thing is that I am working on my speed. So in the next season, I am definitely going to pin Asker Ali.
