S Sreesanth announces himself on his way to comeback with a fiery spell culminating with a trademark send-off

After having served a ban of seven long years, Indian speedster S Sreesanth is all set to play for his state team in the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, which is scheduled to begin on January 10. For this, he has received his Kerala cap earlier this week as Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) has also named the squad for the upcoming tournament which will be led by none other than swashbuckling batsman Sanju Samson.

Notably, Sreesanth was banned for his alleged involvement in the infamous spot-fixing scandal in the cash-rich Indian Premier League but he has shown immense dedication to force his return into the state team and he looks to be back at his old dangerous form while playing the warm-up matches prior to the tournament. He was at his aggressive best with the ball as well.

Meanwhile, a youtube channel named ‘kerala cricket association kerala cricket’, which has 3.91K subscribers has shared a minute-long video where the pace bowler can be seen appealing aggressively and even he was seen a bit of sledging to the batsman as well. However, after the one-minute of the bowling video, Sreesanth seems to lose his cool and showed his anger after trapping the batsman in front of the stumps, who was moving around the crease. Following that, the pace bowler was seen saying some words to give him a harsh send-off as well.

However, his seven-year ban completed in September this year. Earlier, he was included in the list of players for the local T20 tournament in Alappuzha this month as well. But the inaugural KCA President’s Cup T20 couldn’t take place as the KCA did not get the government nod due to the spread of global pandemic novel coronavirus.

However, Sreesanth has received his state cap in front of his teammates and after receiving it, the pace bowler has shared a video online with the caption, “There is nothing stronger than a broken man ,who has rebuilt himself..” Thnks a lot for all the Supoort nd love ..#Gods grace #humbled #cricket #keralacricketassociation #bcci #grateful #respect #love #bestisyettocome.”

On the other hand, Sachin Baby will be the deputy of Sanju Samson in the upcoming tournament. The other players are – Basil Thampi, Jalaj Saxena, Robin Uthappa, Vishnu Vinod, Salman Nizar, Nidheesh M D and Asif K M, Akshay Chandran, Abhishek Mohan SL, Vinoop S Manoharan, Mohammed Azharuddeen M, Rohan S Kunnummal and Midhun S. Meanwhile, four new faces have also been included —Vathsal Govind Sharma, Sreeroop M P, Midhun P K and Rojith KG.
